DARPA
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is the research and development office for the U.S. Department of Defense. DARPA’s mission is to maintain technological superiority of the U.S. military and prevent technological surprise from harming our national security.
We have created and produced integrated communication outreach to support multiple Program Offices, technologies, and strategic initiatives. Tactics have included scenario-based dramatizations, event media, digital online communication, animated visualizations, and “program legacy” DVDs.

- Loma Media is supporting the PAL program (IPTO office), which is designed to produce long-term scientific and technical innovations in the areas of machine learning, reasoning, perception, and multi-modal interaction. A scenario-based LomaVision™ presentation helped define and refine the initial vision; subsequent video programs have documented and demonstrated the program’s progress over the past 5 years. A dedicated micro site designed by Loma provides an overview and updated information to core constituencies.
- Designed to illustrate the necessity of an effective response to cyber-terrorism, a LomaVision™ presentation produced for the Strategic Technology Office’s Information Assurance program has been widely distributed to audiences including senior government leadership, Congress, internal technologists, and the American public.
- When STO was assigned a new mission in 2007, it chose Loma to help define its future focus for key strategic partners and supporting organizations. “The Challenge,” a video dramatization of new war fighting realities, debuted at DARPATech, an industry-wide event.
